Best Overall Busse

e handles - :barf:

only e I liked was a 1 of 14 NO-e with swedge with oku sheath. Man that was such a nice knife but just a little too thick !!

had one of those and fipped it - too chubby !

come to think of the only busse I haven't flipped is my SJTAC, we'll see when my BOSS Street & BWM arrives what fate is bestowed upon them !!

I think in the UK it would be a BAD OR GW !!

What was the thickness of the one you had?
The ones on the left are all fatties at .280+
The ones on the right are .25 thick.
The one at the bottom is .200 and is super sweet with hand shaped handles.

 I only wish I could have justified the zt BM-e that just sold for a song on the exchange.

can't remember, looking at the pics it was like the polished spine ones on the right. I love the straight handle stuff, even now - they are just awesome. Too fat for a user (for me anyway)

You should of snagged that one bro - at under .19 it was just right BUT still an e !! teasin you bro

True. ^^^ My PT5 has the Ergo and it feels just right.

nasty looking thing !!

My favorite now? NMFBM.

My most practical? CG ash 1, it can do it all.

Best overall? For me I have to look way back to the days of the A-2 steel.

Here's my vote - NO-E clip point from the custom shop.:thumbup:

Brendan, I'm not sure if this is the one you mentioned earlier, but there were very few of these made. I got a chance to use this on a passaround a few years ago (much thanks to OTE), and I've never seen a better all-arounder. Incidentally, it's the closest thing to an INFI Ratweiler I've ever seen, too. :D

thats the one mate - 1 of 14 !!

Stunning, lovely satin spine too !!

My new KZ....

Just joking. Actually, in the Philippines, I saw one big blade used for everything from butchering a pig to building a shelter and then food prep. Granted it's not uncommon to see people walking around with long blades over there.

But, for here in the good old USA:

I'd say the NMSFNO. It's seems to be a great all around knife. Big enough to be a capable chopper, short enough to EDC if you're creative. Handle allows for multiple grips, and while it does not balance like a fighter, it's still adequately agile.

The SARsquatch not far behind especially if heavy chopping is not required as much.

I go back and forth. There's the ASH-1 too. Although the handle is a little restrictive.

NMSFNO...Final answer. (ala "Who Wants to be a Millionaire")

I think it's a tie between the SJTAC and SFNO (NMSFNO not far behind)

Great thread lads !!

Then hopefyully their prices will start reflecting that again ( well atleast the sfno. The sjtac has never demanded a high price), but seems to me that no one wants to sell their original SJ's. I guess you get what you pay for;):D

( just ribbing you guys;))

SFNO
ASH
SHSJ
(RMD)

I rotate these, when I take just one knife with me.

For me the best Busse knife is this one:

P1030617.jpg

(TB double cut with micarta handles, no choil  :D and round butt)
Great do it all blade! Double cut and satin TBs are thinner then coated ones and thus they are lighter and have much thinner edge. So it can slice, dice very well and for it's size it's qiute a good chopper. Perfect hiking blade.
I like it even more than my trustworthy BATAC (which would be much better without the choil IMHO).

I have a CG ASH, NO-E, and several Dogs and Rats, but the Chopweiler is my favorite do-everything knife right now.
