Best Overall Busse

mikeymoto and Knife Hunter beat me to it, but for sure the best Busse overall is the SJ:

My most used Busse is either my Custom Shop BAD or my Custom Shop AD variant I won at Blade 07. However, I think I would get more all round use from my Comp Sarsquatch.

I probably should have had garth make a new set of handle slabs for this (and cut off the butt for me), but the blade and handle profile (minus the butt) are from the custom shop.

I say this is the best (to me) because it's the only one I'm willing to edc at the moment, so it's the one I'm most likely to use for everything (and am happy with).

If I had to choose the one that made me go "wooooooow" the first time I held it, and continually until the day I sold it, it's definitely the cghogfsh in jungle green with black canvas. For those who have held the batac se 2007, the hogfsh was as solid, as smooth, and as heavy feeling but in a much larger package.

If I had to say the most utilitarian: the basic 9.

If they didn't have the swedge, the ZT SH-e or NO-e would be near perfect in my eyes. I love me some thINFI.

What is it about the swedge that offends you? I am voting ZTSH.

The Uncle MoFo is a strong second place.

The reason I picked the SFNO over the SHSJ is that you can do some semi-effective chopping with it. If I can have a chopper too then the SHSJ fills the slot that used to be held by the SFNO. :)

I do way more batoning than chopping, and swedges suck for batoning. Yes, you can baton with a swedge, but it's better without, so I don't like them.

Last Visible Canary,

what model is that with GenIII handles, no choil and recurve?

what was said /\. In the end it was a true beater in every regard, poorly done sand paper satin finsh, half heartedly polished tripple bevelled 18 degree (per side) edge, cut down from a thin NICK. I wanted something thin and choiless, and busse simply doesn't make knives like that. Though many would call it a monstrosity, it had everything I wanted and I stand by the concept. only problem was the third gen handles :foot:

(I much much much prefer the ratmandu or harry carry style handles)

It's funny, whenever I look for that thread I search for "porr" as well. spelling errors make searching much much easier :p:foot:

The best Busse is the one you use the most!
For my prybar needs, I use the NIP.
Otherwise, I have an AD as my go to knife.
