Hi Subseven -

I took this one from my truck on the way home from work yesterday - with my cell phone.

This is cropped but otherwise not altered.

Just one? I can't narrow it down to ten, I have thousands of pictures that I have taken that I like. However, here is the short list. From a strictly photographic composition standpoint, I like these two:

And others that I like a lot for various reasons

If you are lucky and in the right place at the right time to get the lighting....

And this last one is not for special lighting, but it is a nice place

Are self-portraits allowed? I just tripped and fell in the shower while taking some pics and I have a doozie. Bueller...Bueller...???

I am not a photographer and do not consider these my best two pictures. I do consider them to be pictures of the two best places I have ever been. I have been fishing the Cowpasture river and camping in the same area for most of my life. I made my first trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina about twenty years ago and it has been the only place to vacation since. The picture is Avalon Pier where we spend every morning fishing while there.

Below was taken at Logan's Pass in Glacier National Park in September of 2010. One of my favorites. Shot with a Nikon D200.

Can't figure out how to get this thing to post bigger than a thumbnail. Sorry:(

Way up on the North Fork of the Skykomish River.
You can drive up there & this pic was taken from the side of the forest service road.

Hi mykel -

That is a nice place - have you ever tried to set the camera up on a tripod so you can use an extended shutter opening to blur the running water? That would make your scene even more spectacular....

Here is another sunset/landscape taken with my HTC Evo4 cell phone.

Beautiful sunsets Andy.I had sunrise at work last week that was very similar & I was wishing I had my POS P&S.
I'm not much of a shutterbug & didn't even think of trying to blur the water.
I like my water clear & unclouded anyhoo.;)
Thanks for the tip Andy.:)

Nothing special about this one other than the fact it's so damn Idaho. Nature likes to be simple and dramatic all in one.

A lucky capture of the most exhilarating moment in my outdoor experience. This beats swimming class 4+ rapids for sheer intensity of the moment because I really thought I was going to be dead. Destroyed thousands of dollars of gear in a fraction of a second.

This one isn't particularly awesome but means alot to me as well. I think this was the moment that I became completely comfortable for the first time 300 miles from anywhere. Nez Perce NF

I took this one along the Boise River right in town, but it catches the essence of life here.

The pooch agrees. Anyone that tries to claim humans are the only creatures that can experience things like joy are full of BS.
