Best Picture

This is one my father-in-law snapped by accident. It is one of my favorite pictures. Just happens to be me while traveling through the Klondike on vacation and just in awe of what I was seeing. Photo was totally by accident. Didn't even know we had it until a week later at home.

Also this picture from the same trip of Toushai lake. One of my dreams is to go back and fish this little lake;

I wouldn't call any of my pics "best" of anything, but here are some I like, and that I think fall into "not horrible for a P&S".

Little River Falls, Ft. Payne, AL.

Really like this one from Valley of Fire in NV, too:

Double Arch Alcove, Kolob Canyons, Zion National Park, UT:

From Smoky Mountain National Park(don't know why the downsized version looks so crappy, got the full version as my screensaver on a widescreen monitor:():

Love my avatar pic, but the quality wasn't that great...

I don't really have any beauty shots. Most of my pics were usually subject specific\related.

Just one, and where it was taken. :D

on a side note, i see more than one pic from some posters. attention to detail/ability to follow instructions is a survival skill...just saying :o

Thinking inside the box, failing to take initiative, concern for details or aesthetics, and following "rules" are the opposite of survival skills. Survival is ALL about changing the situation;)

So we are supposed to view this as if we had our ear on the white line?:D

Cool picture

I've walked all the way across the top without getting my feet wet several times. You got there on a good day!
:thumbup:
I've got pics of it where it's just a few feet wide on the far side, and others after a flood with a lot more flow. Been meaning to do some hiking and rappeling around there. I've only done the trail from Eberhart Point down to the river, and downclimbed the cliff line to come back to the base of the falls a few times. The last couple of times I just took my parents once, and a date the other as a side trip on the way up to DeSoto State Park.
