Best place to buy knives online

Hey, You guy are great, Thanx. I moved from Boston to Atlanta. They had a bunch of nice knife stores in Boston, but they mostly sell guns here in Georgia. Besides retail sucks compared to what you can get online. I checked out some of the sites you guys listed and damn did I find some good stuff. I had my mind set on a Spyderco Lil Temperance, but now I just have too many choices, but I guess that's a good thing.:)

To all of you who have gone to cumberlandknives, you're welcome. I've also got crazy email support from 'em. I'm making my wish list right now. I also plan on going up to Jacksonville and visiting 1sks, as I do believe that they have a regular retail store. Kinda dreading it, as I am an insane impulse buyer. Clerks smile at me when I enter stores.

Hotswat, just wait til next year. You are in the right town now! I was in Atlanta last June for the Blade Show and if you can't find it there, you won't care. There is too much for the three days to let you see -- and buy -- it all.

The trick online is to check out the sites that show great pictures and give you full descriptions of size and materials and variations. One Stop Knife Shop happens to be excellent for that, and will offer you a competitive price, too. It is not the same as handling them, but after a while, you will know enough that you don't necessarily need to touch them all, nice as that would be. :)

Hotswat,

You are right about the scarcity of knife shops in Atlanta. One that carries some good stuff is Brigade Quartermasters in Kennesaw. Chuck's firearms in Buckhead has Randall Made knives. There is a large knife store in downtown Newnan, called Oz Cutlery. It is by far the largest knife store I have found in metro Atlanta. There is a gun shop in Smyrna (S. Cobb Drive) called Sportsman's Adventure, which has a larger than average selection of knives, including Cold Steel and Spyderco knives.

Otherwise you are limited to the small selection found in various gun shops and sporting goods stores. Some of the gunshops carry custom knives made by local makers. There are some famous makers in the Atlanta area, for example, Jerry Hossum.

Of course, for three days each year the Atlanta Blade Show is the world's biggest knife store.

HA, got me again... Just realized hiw old this thread was, lmao, and here i "was" getting better at checking op dates before responding....

Kershawguy.com usually has some of the best prices on Kershaw products, incl. the cheap(er) overseas models...

Free shipping on all purchases too...

Anything in particular you're looking for?
A particular price range? $10-20-40? All are relatively "cheap" knives...
I have a Kilimanjaro 3" vertice I picked up for just over $10, impulse buy I threw in a cart with some other knives, and for the price it is surprisingly well made for a made in china knife...

wtf, you bumped a 13 year old thread to tell that guy, probably long gone, or already found what he was looking for where to buy knives?

sjtknives.com and they ship for free

I checked out the quoted website and didn't see anything but the kind of knives you find at the county fair booths.

And yes I realize this is a 13 year old thread, but since it was resurrected I figured it was open season.
