Best small knife

Just noticed that I have been carrying my small knives a lot lately. I used to carry knives with 3.5" blades and heavy frames but I just got tired of lugging them around. I started carrying a little Sanrenmu a few months ago and It is now my EDC. I have decided that I can do just about anything as far as utility with this knife and only carry larger models when I may need protection. It's a great little knife and below is a link to a review of it.

Please post small knives(2.5" blades and under) that you carry. I am going to start a new collection of these small guys. I myself prefer liner/frame locks but post any small knives that see lots of EDC fixed or folding

Thanks, Dan @ KG

My favorite small knives are my Spyderco Techno and my Domino. These get all of my pocket time. I still think the Techno is my favorite. Just something about the stout little blade.

Busse NMFSH is what many would consider a good small knife.

But really, I like my Benchmade 530. It's blade is longer than 2.5 inches, but its incredibly thin and weighs only 1.9 ounces.

The spyderco dragonfly2 and the boker pipsqueak are my favorite small knives. The pipsqueak has 2.6" blade and a handle that some how feels amazing and fills almost any size hand nicely. Another cool little blade is the boker subcom, it comes in several colors and blade shapes its super light and disapears into your pocket.

Best small knives? In no particular order...

Vic Classic
Case Peanut

Fixed Blade Honorable Mention: AG Russell Woodswalker

My daughter loves the Kershaw Chive, its small enough but yet effective to work as an light edc

My favorite "little big knives" are the Cold Steel Tuff Lite and Mini Tuff Lite. I have all the knives in the video, and find those two SanRenMu knives are on the flimsy side, FWIW.

My ESEE Izula sees a bit of pocket time, and when I go into Chicago I carry either the Izula or a SOG Flash 1. Both have black blades, the SOG is a special edition with an aluminum handle.

Spyderco Dragonfly2 Zdp, case butterbean, WH Monarch, CRK Umfaan all see ise in my edc rotation

I do a lot of the corporate carry so to speak -- and gravitate to the smaller blades too.

+1 on the Spyderco Dragonfly (in G10) but I'm also a big fan of BM 707 Sequel and find myself carrying that often. It's a bit longer than the 2.5" cut but super smooth and easy to use one handed with the axis lock. Worth a look.

For work (desk job) I usually carry my BM 530 because it is so thin and light. Sometimes I'll pack something bigger.

Favorite small knives:

(1) CRK Small Sebenza 21;
(2) Benchmade Mini-Grip;
(3) SAK Pioneer;
(4) Spyderco Dragonfly 2;
(5) Kershaw Chive.

My favorite small knives... Many have been mentioned already.

Case Peanut

GEC #06 Pemberton

Spyderco Dragonfly2

SAK Cadet

Spyderco Techno

Not sure if the Kershaw chill makes it into the small category (depends on how small), but it is one of my favorites as it is very thin and lightweight. The Leatherman PS4 is a great small multi-tool I like too.

NEED is not a word that belongs in a knife collectors lexicon. You should know that... :D Glad to be of service.
