I'm looking at the delica now, and plan to get it with the steel handles mainly for aesthetic reasons. So which spyderco that has steel handles is best for edc? Has to be 4 inches or lower for legal purposes. Thanks for the help

Delica...unless you'd like to step up to the Techno or Slysz Bowie with TI handles!

Delica 4 is great and lightweight. Easy to throw in your pocket and forget about and a few options for colors and steels.

I have to admit...I'm very partial to titanium slabs...G10 is okay also, but I love the feel of titanium.

The Delica is perfection. Hands down my favorite size of all time

Dragonfly or Delica depending on your work and environment
Get the ZDP 189 steel .

I'd vote for the techno.

It's gotta be something you like to begin with. Techno has a premium build quality and you can never go wrong with titanium.

I'm a Delica 4 FFG fan myself. I have 5 in 4 different colors which I rotate through. Great bang for the buck and it wouldn't be the end of the world if I happen to lose it. Many of the other knives listed are great but out of my price range.

I also love my delica4 FFG. Usually when I EDC Spyderco I have my Delica4 and my Paramilitary 2. Delica is for 99% of tasks, I'll use that because it can handle every day to day thing and it won't scare all the liberal hippy soccer mom types. The paramilitary 2 is for when things get serious

Guys, he asked about steel scales. Steel scales. That rules out most of your suggestions.

JDX, just go with the stainless Delica for now. The smooth slabs slide in and out of the pocket beautifully, and the whole knife - to me - has sorta of a cool mechanical feel to it. You don't get that with FRN or G10.
