Best Spyderco from a collectors point of view and also a heavy users point of view. 2 knives (I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!)

If you happen to stumble across a Magnitude it would be both a great user or collector, though it might be a bit thick/bulky for what some prefer for EDC. Another that could fill both roles would be a PM2 tanto, this one had aftermarket scales when it came to me. Excellent blade for EDC tasks and people love them enough and they're limited enough to be considered collectible, I think.

OP: BTW, if you go for the Manix XL, which I love, might as well go Full Monte, with liner-remove TI scales and in Cruwear or S90V (my two favorite Spyderco steels).

You didn't comment on this in the first post: are you OK with mods ? You can make an outstanding knife out of a great knife, with many Spydercos .....

And yes, the K2 is nice ... and BIG (plus for me):

Who did the anodizing on your K2? That thing is beautiful!

I’ve settled on these 4 for my primary rotation. All less than 4” but tough in their own way:
Stretch Hap 40
Stretch 2 K390
Siren LC200N
Manix 15V

Honorable mention (and maybe on the collectible side): Gayle Bradley 1, esp if you can find a solid liner version.

Only rare one I own is a PM 1 user in D2:

Nice! I really like both of them. Thanks for the suggestion

I'm definitely ok with mods, I even welcome them for my user knives.

I'm not exactly a big dude but I have big ass hands. Almost all of my edc knives have 4" blades.
I was recommended Osborne 940 but when I got it, it felt like I was holding it with my fingers.
If talking benchmade, at least adamas or bigger, I don't care if its "fat" no issue carrying a large knife.
Hell, for a second I considered a fixed for edc, except i live in a communist state so.....

I'm gonna recommend the Manix 2XL also, it's an amazing knife with great ergos and excellent cutting performance, I have the normal S30V version, which has served me very well so far, haven't found it lacking in any department, except maybe that the jimping on the thumb ramp is a "bit" too sharp, I can feel it snagging or tearing at my pockets when I'm retrieving it, but other than that, it's a really really well executed knife!
