Best SUNGLASSES OT

i have been wearing Oakley Wires for a few years now, i recently got a pair of polarized lenses, i like them a lot for driving

i also have a cheap pair of gas station aviators that i wear if i don't want to worry about carrying a case, etc... with me

Anybody know where I can get my Maui Jims fixed? The lens popped out when someone sat on them. I can't remember which mall I bought them in.
I like the Maui Jims except they are a little on the heavy side.

I used to have a pair of polarized Bolle's that worked well for fishing. They were nice and light, and I had no problem seeing down into the water with them. I think I got those at Wall-Mart in their optical dept., didn't cost to much either.Patrick

Maui Jim Kahuna's when flying in bad weather, rain, clouds they let me see the light spots and help find the way to clear weather.

Yea I can't wear that kind of lense so I don't drink in bad weather.

I personally wear Ray Bans. Mine are scripts, with double tinted lenses, polarized, and made of some safety glasses type stuff that is resistant to .22 cal and shotgun pellets. I bought them after getting into RC airplanes because spending alot of time with you neck craned into the air is bad enough, let alonew with the sun in your eyes. And as mentioned before, they will protect my eyes if a propeller fails and flies into my face. Not cheap, but they are great.

I've had Oakley's, Maui Jims, and others. The only brand I've bought twice, and will ever buy again, is Revo!

Maui Jims for golf and Oceanwaves for every day use. They are made here in town are are very good glasses for the Fla sun.

Natives.

For cheaper polarized, check out Flying Fisherman.

I have always liked Gargoyles, and Wiley-X. Unfortunately, finding a store in my area that carries Gargoyles is nearly impossible. Oakley's never seemed to fit me well.

I wear Oakley's with interchangable lens in uniform and sports. I rotate between my Pradas, Gucci and, Armanis for day to day wear in normal clothes.
I have not scratched or dropped any of my sunglasses, but the Oakley's do take a beating.

Another Oakley wearer. Wife wears them too.

I've probably owned 6 different pair since 1991-92; and most pairs have lasted me several years until they ultimately broke (mostly, my mistake ) and Oakley had discontinued the models so no replacements.

Currently, I wear an old pair of black E-Wires for when I bike (has a few rock chips in them, but are decent enough for beating up); and Half-Jackets for EDC. The nicest feature about half-jackets IMO is the fact that the lenses can be replaced (which I've had to do once in the 4 years since I bought the frame).

My wife has an older pair which I will be upgrading as a surprise (for her birthday, in another month or so).

I think Serengetis are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I prefer the "Drivers" model. They are a little expensive, around $150, but they are top quality lenses in strong, lightweight frames. By far the most comfortable sunglasses I have ever worn.

Hey What A About Definition .......... The Way To Go Costa Del Mar

I have to say, I am liking the Costas more than the Jims these days. The Revo lenses are probably the best, but both Maui Jim and Costa Del mar have better styles and their lenses are about as close to Revo as anything can get. I think Costa has better styling that Maui Jim. But I like the Maui Jim Rose lens.

I like all three, I cannot decide on any one only.

I have Revo and the sunglasses are deteriorating badly, the plastic nose shields have been replaced twice, plastic temples are discolored and the edges of the glass are loosing the filter/shade. The glasses are about 3 years old. The lens clarity is awsome but the construction has me wanting Maui Jim soon.

Yup! I'm a die hard Serengetti fan. I've worn the same pair of amber lens Serengetti Summit sunglasses for ten years and they're still in good shape. I really prefer glass lenses to polycarbonate because glass doesn't scrach. If my Summits ever wear out (which I doubt) I'll get another pair just like them. I've also got a pair of Randolph engineering flight sunglasses but I wear them mostly because they look cool.

Their sedona lens is one of the best lenses you can get for definition of details. The photochromic feature has never worked well in the serengetis I had but I never had a driver lens only Sedona/Vermillion lenses, which I still like by the way.
