Best survival Busse Knife

I don't know which knife your looking for but I do have few subjection for ya!
8" 1/4 Large enough to chop well and be a great all around camp knife, small enough that it's actually reasonably practical to carry it.
I like to be able to chop and split wood, but I wouldn't want to clean a deer with a battle mistress:eek:
Just... a perfect balance, perfect length, & a elegant design.

MOFO or NMSFNO. i prefer the MOFO, but it all depends on your preference. they'd both serve as excellent survival knives. which do you like better

I assume you picked these, because they're the ones you have, right? So you're not looking to buy something, but pare down what you have?

In that case, the NMSFNO is hard to beat for an all-around camp knife.

Yes these are knives I currently own. I guess it pretty much comes down to the NMSFNO.

Yes these are the ones I currently own. I guess it looks like the NMSFNO wins. But the Mofo looks sooo cooool. Well I guess I might be selling my Uncle Mofo DC. What would be a could price for a Uncle Mofo DC mint cond?

Sfno flat or sabergrind! The nmsfno is a great knife and is a little bit better chopper than the sfno due to blade length.
Although I like the sfno for the finer work, when you choke up on the blade.

So for a "one knife" I like a sfno. If I had a nmsfno I would Want a smaller blade to compliment it.

That's just my 2 cents!

Out of the ones you have I would pick the longest blade, it will serve more duties than the rest. you don't need a sword, but more blade is better than not having enough

I had to sell my NMSFNO and it's the one of them all that I most want back due to it's all-round capabilities.

The only reason I could part with it was that I have a HHSFH with magnums, which I slightly prefer the grip on with a knife that size. As much as I love my SFNO-LE, the HHFSH would be my 'one knife' for wilderness/woodland 'survival'. If I still had the NMSFNO that would probably come in a close second, closely followed itself by the SFNO-LE. Really, probably only a percent or two between each one.

You'll have to pry my HHFSH from my cold, dead hands. Even then, my Hog spirit will come with it and haunt you relentlessly to make sure you treat it right!

Let's have some pictures:

sfno is not enough blade imo. But if it is what you can carry, then so be it. My meaner is sometimes all I carry and that will have to do. You make do with what you have.

NMSFNO,

I love it, but like foxyrick, I'm not crazy about the handle, it would be awesome with a fusion handle.

You guys are correct about the weight re HHFSH vs NMSFNO and others if you're concerned about how much you carry. The NMSFNO is noticeably lighter.

Speaking personally though, I would diet and lose a couple of extra pounds myself before I would ditch the extra steel :D

No one knife is perfect for all task, thats why Mr. Busse makes so many models, its an evil plot to keep us all broke. I live in the woods and a knife gets used for alot more than just making fire wood, i've used both the NMSFNO and the SFNO and while the NMSFNO is longer i've found the SFNO to be a handier all around user, just my opinion.

Maybe this one would work not as heavy as my HHFSH. Also not the best picture but neither is my camera.
