Got to agree that its the knife you have with you when you really need a knife. Many of us have knives and gear that are perfect for a planned outing or even an emergency while in the outdoors. It what you have when you least expect to need it that really counts. On a every day basis I feeel good with my SAK Explorer and my Kershaw Blackout or Kabar folding Warthog. These two knives I have on me at all times while I am awake and dressed. On a outdoor trip I usually still have my two Everyday Knives and have added a 4-5 inch fixed Blade hunter and a large Ontario of some kind plus a hatchet in the Jeep.
