Best value knife under $50?

7 bucks for an opinel No.8, and with some time, i can get it to pop hairs...thats value to me:thumbup:

Kershaw Needs Work (just got one, AMAZING!),
Douk Douk (razor sharp carbon steel blade, holds a great edge, all for 17 bucks!)

Kershaw Skyline - $35
Buck Vantage Pro - $40
Spyderco Tenacious - $30
Kershaw Leek - $50
Kershaw OD-1 - $40
Kershaw Zing - $40

Spyderco Native
Spyderco Delica
Kershaw OD-1
Rat Culterly Izula
Kershaw Leek with CPM D2
Kershaw Junk Yard Dog II

I have to say, the Vantage Pro is a step above everything else I've seen suggested. S30V with G-10 scales, that'd normally go for $80.

Other than that I'd say the Spyderco Native, which also has a S30V blade.

Spyderco Native 1!

My first, and my best under $50 quality folder. I have the tenacious and love that too, but the Native carries better for me, smaller, lighter, better steel, etc... It's also VERY ergonomic for a smaller knife (for me) with the 50/50 choil

I have the Buck Vantage Pro and it's a great knife for the price. I also have a Kershaw Skyline and that too is a great knife, although mine gave me 5 stitches the other night.

Kershaw Lahar. VG-10 steel with a very nice liner lock.

Cold Steel Voyager series. VG-1 steel and it is quite large for the price.

Fixed blade I'd have to go for the BK11 (Kabar). Good stout blade and sheath is nice too.

I will echo the Buck Vantage pro suggestion. I'm sure it has been mentioned but just in case it wasn't the Kershaw RAM is one heck of a knife.

The Ka-Bar doziers are simply solid simple knives. 20 bucks or a little more.Have replaced LST's as my "thank you for a great job" gift knives.
