Best way to clean packing tape from blade

Depending on if I'm in house or shop, alcohol, wd40, naptha always followed by soap and water.
 
Acetone, again, followed by soap and water takes a lot of stuff off.
 
A quick and dirty fix is to rub your thumb on the side of your nose and then use that thumb to wipe it off. Just don't cut yourself. ;)
 
Non chlorinated brake parts cleaner if I'm lazy and in the garage. Just keep it off the rest of the knife.
 
Another vote for Goo Gone...that plus a paper towel and a little rubbing cleans it all off in seconds.
