Best way to find collectors that will give an axe an appreciative home

Did the person who hung the DB do a decent job at least ?
Aside from being upside down that is.

The person that hung that was either the OP's father...the OP is a retired gentleman.
Or possibly but doubtful the OP's grandfather, the man that bought the axe new.
It is hung quite well, solid and tight with minimalist to no gaps.

There is a beautiful history that comes with this axe, from the one family that owned and their history upto this point in time when it comes to me.
I will be passing it down to one of my boys.

Do you own some other Supple-Biddle axe heads or just kept nicer ones?

(Kind of) back on topic, I’m getting rid of LOTS of old hand tools, hand planes, spoke shaves, adzes, braces and bits, etc. and I’d rather send them to an appreciative home than just post them up on eBay. Any thoughts on people or places in CA that would appreciate these tools and give them a good home? Carefully removed, lightly cleaned, turned around and rehung on the Wescotts Hardware Store haft it came to me on after a light clean and sanding.
