OK, sorry about the delay, but we first-time videographers are having some issues. :( The above is the first of 7 or eight. This is the only one uploaded so far. I will add the extra ones in this post as they become available and will make a new post announcing the addition. I hope this works out ok.

I mention it in the video, but I want to once again, thank Moose for his generosity in sending me a pre-production BK-4. You might notice in the video above, I call it a KB-4 - mike fright. Brad Pitt, I ain't, only to look at. :D

Doc

OK, so part 2 - I thought it would be interesting to get Phil's initial impressions on video, since I had already fondled  it for awhile.

And just a correction, apparently we had 50 video takes that through deletion, editing, etc. are boiled down to 12 so stay tuned.

Doc

OK, I can only load 2 more because #5 is not yet uploaded, so, the chopping comparison. We didn't video a ton of chopping because you've already seen a lot of it with gavco, thrill, etc., and that can get boring pretty quickly, but we do try to point out the differences, ...............or do we???? :D

Apparently you can only put three videos in a post, so I will have to add them in a new post(s).

Thanks everyone, but don't get your hopes up too high - we are noobies at this, after all.

Doc

Coulda fooled me. Keep up the good work! I've been looking for someone to talk me into buying a Machax. (now just need someone to talk my wife into letting me...)

OK :) I'm convinced. Now who volunteers to tell my wife for me and explain why I need *another* knife. Especially since my stitches still aren't out from my last encounter with the BK12.

Doc: Will you be stripping the new one to match the older one? Might make for a more even comparison, as the extra friction will surely make a difference in certain tasks, no?

Goodness me. Doc...... You have a great screen presence, and both you and your interviewer seem to be naturally talented at making a video presentation. I was sincerely impressed.

They probably sent you that knife 'cause it is a bent one. Everyone knows that a knife should be straight :)

I don't need another knife, but I've long admired the BK7 and BK9. I'm guessing that the Machax would out-chop a BK9, but I reckon the straight knife would be more useful to me for general hunting and trapping. I'd be interested to hear your opinion on 'straight vs curved'. Maybe this will get a mention in a later episode.

Good stuff Doc. You may have found your niche. Sure beats tv.

I'm looking forward to this mini-series! I'm on the fence about the machax.

So far so good Doc, I'm subscribed and waiting for more

I'm excited to hear the opinion of someone who's had 20 years of experience with the Machax design.

actually, in straight out power-chopping the 9 will outchop the 4. But just by a small amount, the 4 is still a good chopper.

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I can't wait, ya'll. Not sure how many of you know, but I'm VERY interested to see the comparison to the Cinci Era Machax compared to the new one. Of all that I know, Doc would be the one to know.

And Doc, take no offense but thank gawd there was no tank tops. :D
