Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I love a bit of dark rum with my hot chocolate. I'm sure with your recipe it would be much better than my store bought. Nice knife too!
Allow me to recommend Ratu rum liqueur...its a Fijian concoction ...coffee,chocolate, coconut notes in tasty rum sippin potion.

This is possibly the best beer I've tasted for ages...no fruity hop BS...evenly balanced... very refreshing....6%...everything a beer should be. Here Ive paired it with a tasty selection of horn and yellow bone .

greentrout greentrout Thanks very much, dark Rum would be nice, mellow brandy or bourbon too:cool:

Just sat down with an evening mug of hot chocolate myself. Your's looks much fancier than mine. (Mine came in a pouch with little dehydrated marshmallows.) :D

All good according to taste, but making 'real' chocolate is not complicated either. A medium cup takes TWO heaped teaspoonfuls of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of sugar or stevia as I use , a little thick cream. Mix together as an oily paste, takes a little while, pour on the boiled water top up with full cream milk. I use this little whisking or frother device for latte to smooth it. This type of chocolate is good for blood pressure and sleep :)

meako meako Good tip  That horn handled GEC you recently got really racks up my envyometer :D what a fine looker. On a taste level, I have to agree with you about a lot of modern craft style beers, too citrus and floral for my liking, I want it more bitter and with bite. There's a great lager type here but slightly darker, called Prezident from Czech Republic, 6% and more like a Burton type beer. It goes down well anyway :D

Thanks to all, Will

Beer:30 comes early on Thanksgiving...note the long early morning shadows! My EDC Beer Scout and Bear Republic's new Double IPA...Drift Racer...quite good like all of their beers, thank you Norgrove family for one of the best lines of beer on the planet. Bird is on the BBQ and looking forward to a day with the family. Everybody have a great day out there!

I nice mild Connecticut wrapped smoke with a strong red pairs well Vince. At least for my pallet.
Had a Macanudo Hampton Court last night, which fits that description. Had bourbon with it.
Going to my daughter-in-law's parents tonight for second-dinner. I'm sure my son will have a nice stogie or two for me. Will try one with wine soon. Both have tannins, I believe.
