I got this as part of a Christmas bourbon exchange at work. It is definitely a unique bourbon. Chilled it has a sweet finish of a wheat but when it warms up a little it develops a good rye spice. I’m going to have to find another bottle or two.

So is wheat wine ale akin to barley wine...which is in fact beer not wine but its alco content is equal to wine ...often stronger....?

Schlafly Brewery here in St. Louis makes a wonderful Baltic Porter, very complex and flavorful, I'd love to try that DB one, too. Maybe it's just a winter thing, but the stouts and porters have been my mainstay lately.
