Stout drinking weather here. ;)

I like everything I’ve tried by High West, Dylan.

This one has me inspired to try their other offerings. Their Campfire has me particularly intrigued. A mix of Bourbon, Rye, and Scotch whiskeys!

I don't often hit the "like" button in this thread, not much of a drinker, but that is an awesome picture!!!

Thank you, John. My wife brought home this bottle and I knew I had to make a "themed" picture. I think it turned out alright.

Excellent beer reviews, Chin! Not sure about that Oyster one though.... Would have to try it before I pass judgement. :D

I found a rather pleasant Rye.

Cheers Dylan. Yeah, the Oyster Stout was definitely not among the first Boatrocker stouts I thought to try, even though I love oysters, but it really works well. I think if you were to just pour someone a taste, without telling them what it was, they wouldn’t really guess that it had seafood added to it.

That pic’s fantastic, Dylan, even by your high standards. Is that a Colt Dragoon? Awesome, my friend. Looks like a good drop of rye, and that brass fitted Gunstock’s a great combo with it. (I got the micarta version.)

Thank you, Chin. I would certainly give that particular Stout a try even knowing what's in it. Can't knock it until I try it, right? I am fond of oysters too but I require them cooked... Sacrilege to some folks, I know. The pistol is a Colt Walker, certainly a dragoon pistol but larger than the standard dragoon that was produced after the Walker. It is a reproduction, of course, but a fine one and very functional and accurate.

Having a drop of McCarthy's this evening.

Bottle 72 of only 612 brewed. The story goes that when Big Bend Brewing closed their doors in Alpine, Tx this was still in Brandy barrels. Now due to a Canadian company closing up shop before finishing the company’s new brewing equipment they may not open their doors in San Antonio.

So, here is to Big Bend Brewing Co. You guys were daring enough to open a brewery in far west Texas, won awards, and gave us Texans some damn good beer. May this truely not be the last from you.
