I've never been to the Chaska Curling Center but that looks awesomeThat looks mouth watering delicious.
How cool is that!! Hey Barrett did you see Kevin (veitsi_poika ) out there on the ice?
Another beautiful scene. I just drained the last drop out of my bottle of that nectar.![]()

The nicest club we have around here is the Wausau Curling Club... pretty similar setup to Chaska.
Here's me on the ice in GB after we a scored 6 in the 1st endUnfortunately our season ended last night with a lost in the 1st round of our playoffs... pretty disappointing after making it to the championship game last year

I imagine it is as good as Knappogue typically tends to be?
Little late but that looks delicious! Will look for it.Prester John and
Pàdruig it taste just like an IPA. It's weird and does something weird to the senses. It smells like juice. Almost like pineapple, but tastest as hoppy as any west coast IPA. I still love west coast IPAs but these "hazy" IPAs are very good and have my eye right now.
You oughta try Chimay blue label: I believe it's 9%, and one of the best beers I've ever tasted. Kind of expensive these days for beer, though. The red label is excellent too--about 7%.@Pàdruig
Yikes!Gotta admit...a 9% Ale scares me a little bit.

AB at 7% is more than enough to make my liver quiver!
Tonight feels more like a *Bourbon Martini* night at Casa de Oro.

By the way, what exactly is a "bourbon martini"? Is that like a Manhattan?
Enjoying a hot toddy myself right now, as I have a cold. Except I'm drinking the whiskey (Jameson) neat, and will follow it up with a tablespoon of honey and lemon juice. I'm skipping the hot water this time.![]()
The only cocktails I make with bourbon are Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Usually take bourbon neat or on the rocks.Yep, a Manhattan it is.
Mrs. Oro feels a Manhattan is a bit snootyShe's kind of *Old Fashion* that way.
So we tend the like the more down to earth *Bourbon Martini* version (aka the Upstate).
I will seek out the Chimay goodness this weekend -- appreciate the tip.![]()

Let me know what you think of Chimay. It's a Belgian ale made by Trappist monks. The red label is the original. Excellent. The blue label is called "Grande Reserve", or something like that. There may be a couple of others, but I prefer red or blue label. Comes in a bottle of about 24 oz. (I don't think in ml!), with a cork, or in smaller bottles with metal cap. Either four or six pack.
