My youngest son's 35th birthday is tomorrow. He mentioned he likes Rye Whiskey. I know for nothing about Rye Whiskey but I liked the name.
I also like my Coffin Jack.:D

I have to wait a few more years to share some whiskey with my boy, but I’ve put a few bottles back for the occasion. Haven’t had Whistle Pig before but I hear it’s a good one. As I’m sure you already know, it isn’t about the whiskey anyway, it’s about the company. Nice knife by the way! :) Enjoy your time with your son, and pass along birthday wishes!;)

Thank you! I've been blessed. He and his wife decided they were going to settle close to their families. Now we've got 3 grandchildren to brighten our days too.
My daily ration has been a tipple of honey flavored bourbon. I'll twist his arm to get a taste of that Rye.

You are a lucky guy! My wife and I came back home to be close to our folks also. Best decision we could have made, watching our kids grow up with their grandparents (from both sides) was priceless. There aren’t many career opportunities around here any more so I doubt our kids will do the same. St. Louis is only an hour away though, so I’m still hoping!:)

A whisky from Tasmania. Wow, talk about an exotic place to get a whisky! (From my far northern perspective anyway! ) Not sure whether to thank you for showing that, or complain as I'm thinking finding it at the opposite pole up here in Alaska might be impossible... ;)

Ice Tigre Ice Tigre theres a couple of whiskey makers in Tassie...i got this one via The Whiskey Club...online ...it didnt last long...They send one every month...always good. Cheers.

Gary, Whistle Pig is good stuff, but then I'm a rye guy. If you like the honey bourbon, then by all means try the Knob Creek Smoked Maple . . . it's outstanding!

- now, that does sound good, will see if I can get some over here

Peregrin Peregrin bigfish64 bigfish64 ......that sounds wonderful - sadly my wife was unable to bear children. I'm going to have to consider where/to whom I pass down my knives n stuff.........but I'm guessin' most the whiskey, rye and brandy will be gone :D Sharing such around a camp fire is good fun though, and now we're coming out of lockdown, fingers crossed UK progresses well and we can do some more o' that with summer a comin' too. Have a great weekend, all :cool:
