That’s quite a pour my friend hope you’re staying in tonight!:D
Ha! I only indulge on the weekends so I’m making up for lost time. Been looking forward to trying the Redbreast.

I bought it on Sunday and the anticipation might have influenced the pour. Turns out that I like it a lot.

I’m in my easy chair as I type this.

The woman in front of me at the checkout line saw that I was buying beer. She told me that the store had received their once-a-year shipment of a special beer from Maine. She pulled one from the case she'd just purchased and showed me the label as reverently as if it was a fine bottle of wine. Look for it by the Pliny, she said.

Something told me I should listen to her, so I completed my purchase and headed back into the aisles for round two.

I'm glad I did. :)

Yep! That's some good stuff right there! Haven't had it in a while but it's one that has stuck out in my head.

A new Highland I’m trying this evening. This was distilled at an interesting location. They have different processes depending on the sort of whisky they want to produce - peated and unpeated (or less peated) variants.

This one is distinctly Highland - very flavorful despite the notable lack of peat character.
