I don't think I've posted a photo of Founder's Oktoberfest this year, except for a group shot of the various festbiers I'd stockpiled this fall. I can't even find a photo of Founder's from this year, so I'll post one that's several years old. I enjoy Founder's Oktoberfest very much, even if I'm apparently starting to take it for granted!

I’m a big fan of a good Viognier! And Europe’s great Sauvignon Blanc, especially those delicious wines from Sancerre in Loire Valley. And of course Fruili in Italy. Many of the US “new world” SB’s are dreadful, unfortunately.

On another plane, I can’t remember if I posted this last month when we cracked open this interesting whiskey for Thanksgiving weekend but it’s gone now!

This is the first year I've tried a Christmas ale. I thought I might not care for the spices they usually contain. But I took a chance on this one from Great Lakes Brewing and I like it very much!

That Whiskey Sour was actually made with Bourbon………..so good I had to have another
