I often have a stout for my supper beverage, and it's often an oatmeal stout. Here's one I thoroughly enjoy (although I'm reluctant to support the arrogant name the brewery gives the beer):

I'd love to try it, Gary, oatmeal stout is among my favorites, with Saml. Smiths at the top of my list.
Here is a 30 pf. oatmeal liquor that my wife found, super sweet, makes decent phoo-phoo drinks.

Jeff, I'm almost a month late with my reply, and for that I apologize.
I'm sure I've told this story here before. We went down to spend time around Christmas/New Year with the in-laws in Indianapolis (probably about 25 years ago). We stayed with one of my wife's sisters, and she had gone out to buy some beer for me to drink during our stay. She bought me a 6-pack of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout and another of Smith's Taddy Porter. That changed my beer-drinking life! Prior to that, I always bought the cheapest American lager I could find (e.g., Milwaukee's Best Light), but afterwards, I always go for beers with some color to them porters, stouts, bocks, Doppelbocks, etc. (and I almost always have Killian's Irish Red on hand).

I doubt if the stout from Saugatuck Brewing has very wide distribution, but this oatmeal stout from New Holland Brewing probably has a larger market (although I didn't see it available in FL using a randomly chosen beer-finder app):

Thanks, Gary, I'm like you in that I prefer more flavorful beers. Besides the Saml. Smith's I like several from Founders and when really in the mood, some Old Rasputin imperial stout.

You have good taste! Old Rasputin was a nice surprise when I first tried it.
