Beware! Ebay member godfather4109 selling fakes.

This guy is buying this crap from aliexpress and making the buyers wait for shipment!! he has this in his listing:
"
Please note there is an extended handling time due to my being out of town for work pretty often, it may or may not take that long, but its listed as that long so I can stop getting angry messages from buyers that didn't read the handling time and canceling orders. Please make sure you understand, and are ok with possibly having to wait for me to get home to ship the item before bidding."

There is no mention that it is a fake PM 2 and unfortunately someone has bid on this fake already, too bad there is no way to alert the buyer. He is getting 75 percent of retail too! What a dirtbag

His whole "out of town" thing, I have a feeling it's so he has time to use the money to buy and receive the fake...

Another funny thing is he does "expedited shipping" for $10-$20, but still has the expected delivery date as about a month from when the auction ends. This guy is a real class act.

If you look close at his auctions for the two PM2's, the photo's he uses are taken from BladeHQ. Their watermark is right on the photos!

Good luck doing anything about it. I've reported over 2 dozen blatant fakes to ebay along with notifying the seller. In every case nothing happened and some poor sucker got ripped off. Ebay profits from these sales too... Just sayin'.

I think the only hope is for the manufacturers getting ripped off by these chinese counterfeiters to hire goon squads to go in and burn the factories down. It's economic warfare and no surprise our nanny state govt would rather target Americans than defend them.

Negative feedback is starting to come in for him.

"Warning to all ebayers: this seller is a scammer, he sells counterfeits!Conman!"

I believe Ebay needs to enforce a policy wherein all members have to supply their own photos of each item; not just use some stock images or blatantly steal from retailers ^^^.

A personal, unique watermark issued to each seller upon signing up present in each pic to help ensure authenticity of the item being sold. Of course, someone would probably rip off the watermark so... ;):thumbdn::mad:

Checking out godfather's ebay page led me to similar sellers with spyderco civilians for sale all of them way below MRSP; all using the same picture! :thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

Looks like we finally got through to ebay, all his listings have been removed, for the moment...

I watched 2 - PM2 sales that the seller stated in the auction..........

"THESE ARE NOT AUTHENTIC SDYDERCO KNIVES!! However you can have the look, feel, and performance of the Spyderco paramilitary 2 at a fraction of the cost. They feature a stainless 3.25" blade, green G-10 handles, compression lock, over all length 8.00", weight 4 oz. They are shaving sharp, very rugged and well made. I have carried one for the last couple of months, absolutely no complaints. Very well built for the money. Don't hesitate, you will be satisfied. Buy it now, just in time for the holidays. Any questions please ask. Payments through Paypal please."

Is that legal?

When you report an item on ebay, one of the questions they ask is if there is an authenticity disclaimer.

I would think it's illegal, it's at least trademark infringement.

Like I said before in this thread, selling a fake even if you disclose so is against ebay policy. Continue to report him.
