Thanks Cougar, the problem as I see it is, if you were to reject my offer ridiculous or not do I have any right to post here, BEWARE COUGAR...He's a BAD MAN"? Seems kind of childish but it's still harmful. OWL has had some problems in the past and Mitzy saw him as an easy target to attack.
That's just flat out wrong, it's an unprovocated attack that deserves a Public Appology. What did OWL do to deserve this?
Why does Mitzy think he can get away with this? I don't know OWL, but I know he has dealings here (does Mitzy?), this stupid move could cost him $$$ in the future, where in some cases your good name is all you've got.
It doesn't take the wisdom of Solomon to see who's the BAD GUY in this case. Who else would be allowed to get away with a Chump move like this?

Cougar, I think there is a lot more going on here than just a trade gone bad. But maybe you know that.
 
I agree that this thread is wrong. Lots of people consider deals and then decide against them. Does that make them bad people? I have dealt with OWL for an Emerson a few months ago and the deal went smooooooth.
One thing. A few months ago OWL had some problems here with a couple of deals. He went thru a hole bunch of greif over it,and then did what he had to do to get them straightened out. He corrected the problems. Now, for his name to be posted as bad news is not right. Lots of people will just read the title of this thread and come to the conclusion that he's done wrong.

I kind of understand now but,
Why did he reply on my topic in the first place, and if he was kidding, as someone mentioned above, then where was the smiley face??
Also, I wasnt as much insulted, because I knew it wasnt a fair trade stright up, but then shouldnt he email me and ask what was gonna happen, I have bought knives from here before, and posted in the knives wanted to buy forum before, but I have never seen anything like this happen???
 
Also, this isnt some chump move on my part, I am sorry but wouldnt you guys be mad if you posted up knives to trade, and then all of a sudden someone replies and wants to trade, and even says the knife he is gonna trade...
Then you email him, and he says, your joking right...
At first I was confused but it still made me mad, would you guys be mad also??
I am freaking out, I dont understand whats going on here????

I understand your frustration, but get over it. IMHO, it is more important for ME to live up to MY standards, than to critize others when they don't measure up.
If you do much trading or selling on this or other forums, this will happen from time to time. I held onto a knife recently, someone was interested in, for a week. He would not respond to repeated e-mails after he said he was interested in trading. I politely informed him that someone else was also interested in that knife, and I would gladly honor the trade, but if I had not heard from him in 24 hours, it would go to some one else.
The best trades/exchanges are when BOTH parties are happy and it is more than fair to each.
Just remember the name and avoid it next time.
Since no money was lost, please move on, carrying this only hurts you.
Believe me, there will be more in your life time than this to get upset about, how you respond can even effect your health.
Good luck in the your future trades. Keep your standards high.

What you don't seem to understand is YOU OWE OWL AN APOLOGY, here in the same place you trashed him. After this, you'll be lucky to get a rubber knife from anyone for fear that you'll get your feathers ruffled and cry for the teacher.
 
Jake, you are being pretty rude, I was saying that I dont understand why he replied in the first place, and I wanted to make it clear over here, I am not crying to teacher?? I just wanted an explanation........
 
Mickey, I know OWL probably shouldn't have been quite so "rude" in his email, BUT no harm was done, and he really did nothing wrong. You, on the other hand, reply to almost everyone's post unnecessarily just to rack up the posts, IMO. Probably 90% of the time your posts are pointless, and many times even meaningless, but that's you right, as it is OWL's in this case. (If that is the case.) Not to be rude man, but it is true. Many times, when I read your posts, I just think you are some REAL young kid, with an interest in knives, and that's cool, UNTIL you try and bash someone here on the forum. A public apology IS definately due here...and DON'T SAY YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! YOU KNOW WE'RE RIGHT!!! ...and even a 10 year old would realize this.

Wow! This is amazing, as well as somewhat funny.

I first want to say thanks to you guys for the support. Especially to PhilL and Paranoid, for emailing me and bringing this to my attention.

Mickey originally contacted me about wanting my Mini-Stryker. I contacted him a day later apologizing for not getting back to him sooner, as I had been busy. He asked if I'd be interested in any trades, and I asked him what he had. He sent me a small list, I didn't see anything I wanted, and asked if he might have anything else. I never heard back from him. The next day I stumbled upon his Wanted to buy list. I posted a trade request there, as I was interested in the Whirlwind. He emails me asking all sort's of questions about the knife and if I have a picture. I emailed him that I didn't have time for games, and that I would have thought he would have remembered, since he contacted me first. I would have remembered If I contacted someone about a knife I was interested in. I then commented that he must be joking, and to just forget about it. There really was no deal to begin with, I never went back on any post.

I may have been wrong in the way I responded to his emails, but I don't deserve to be posted about it here, the way he did. The more I read about things that mickey says here and in other forum areas, I've come to the conclusion that he's either a real young kid, or an old man. He may not know any better. I don't mean that as an insult, just an observation.

I feel this thread needs to be closed now, as you all have my version of the story. Nobody likes or wants to be bashed here. It's happen to me and it doesn't feel good. I had a couple deals that were posted incorrectly and mistakenly by me , and I practically got crucified by everyone. I made good on them and changed my selling/trading practices to include pictures and better descriptions.

We all are human, AND We all make mistakes...Thanks
