OK folks, you can now rave about the BF Native as much as you like

. I got mine today (should have had it 3 days ago, but that's another story). I am soooo impressed with this knife, the fit and finish are excellent and the action is smooth as butter. What more can I say, oh yes it is scary sharp. Wow.

Mike, the sheath is great, I'll e-mail you for a Merlin sheath as soon as I can afford to buy the knife.

My parcel also included a Sharpmaker 204, which I have wanted for some time. The engineering of the new base is outstanding, I really like the way everything fits inside the lid. I'm part way through sharpening my Wegner Jr and the result is looking very good.

Time to get back to my new toys

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

Been off line for about 2 weeks, so I couldn't get my in my comments on the BF Native & sheath - Worth every cent - great knife from a great company; Sheath is of equal quality - Both are exceptional!

Mike,

The sheath works fine....I was just afraid to really give the Native a sharp pull thinking I'd break the chain. Shouldn't have worried

!!!

All,

Still thinking of getting another BFC Native. But everytime I get close something else bumps it down the list

. I too am very surprised at the number left. One thing I don't think has been mentioned is the feeling in your hand. The thick G10 and CPM440V give it a heft that is reassuring. My lock up has a very satisfying thunk too which mates all the surfaces perfectly. I'm fond of the Buck 532 midlock as a gent's pocket knife. Well the lower blade profile and length of the BFC Native is an exact match. The BFC simply adds an upper surface with opening hole to boot. That's why I don't follow why folks have a problem with the profile. The finger choil and all is extremely ergonomic and functional. Can't think of many CPM440V knives out there at this price point either. Go figure....
