BFK - Cruwear Thread

I’m sure some of you folks got the new one recently and have tested them out a bit (possibly over this weekend) and compared it to others you may have so, give it up. What are your thoughts on this new BFK? Sizing, feel, comparisons and performance.
 
Received mine on my birthday and my initial impression is that I love it! As always the grinds are perfect and finish is top notch. Dont know what Nathan was saying about these being imperfect. As for which I like better. Undecided. The FK2 handles are more sculpted for my hand. The BFK handles are flatter. I do miss the jimping. BFK has that nice length to the blade
and a little more stabbier at the tip. Fk2 has the sentimental attachment after cutting cord to my 3rd kid home birth. Thanks Carothers team for another great knife.

Great pics, and story! You may know, but their scales are interchangeable. My FK2-scaled D3V BFK is an even better farm tool!

Laying them on top of one another really puts them in size perspective. Very close.
 
I had a spare pair of Terrotuff FK2 scales laying around, so I decided to try them on the BFK. They have a little more contour to them. I think I like the feel slightly better than the micarta.

Standard tumble is what pretty much every regular CPK has.

The regular ghetto starts as a standard tumble, and then the main bevel is hit with a particular grit to make it satin. The pic in my post above is the regular ghetto grind, but it's kind of hard to tell.

Hollow ghetto is like regular ghetto, but it is also hollow ground instead of flat. ETA: check post #139 for an example
