Apparently not. I believe there is a thread about pushing infi to its limits and beyond... Talks about taking a battle Mistress down to some angle or another.... It performs marvelously.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/
The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition should serve you well once you get the hang of it --- also the sharp maker with diamond rod add on would work well in the mean time too.
So if I understand well: 12 degrees is stupid when all you have is INFI. Good to know.
I'll just have to avoid all these Busse chopping videos where a 28 ounces blade goes pat-pat-pat... With a noodle-handled 17 ounces Trailmaster surging ahead... Impressive stuff...
Gaston
I just read through the link. It sounded like at the end that Cliff was thinking he would take the edge UP to 25 degrees included (12.5 per side). That's still VERY THIN!and he was CHOPPING at 8.5 per side?! Did I read that correctly?! The 12 degrees of Gaston above doesn't seem so stupid now unless that is inclusive (6 degrees per side). That would be pretty um yeah.
