BHQ Native 5 M4 Natural G10

Assume this is a lightweight Native? If so, also assume that means I can't easily replace the scales with something like micarta? Unless I want to be stuck with jade color the GB2 or CF PM2 may be a better option.
It's not a lightweight Native. It's just liner less G-10

Got it. Same issue on scale swapping: I imagine nothing by Spyderco scales are going to work since the scales are the frame.

Spyderco is changing the standard version of the Native 5 to linerless.

Yes you're correct. I was just thinking about this today, for a second I thought I could scale swap but then remembered how liner less is constructed.

Mine showed up unexpectedly. It was suppose to be here Tuesday. Well I took it apart as soon as I got it. It now has flutted carbon fiber scales. My favorite steel with my favorite scale material, this is my perfect native.

BTW the scale swap went smoothly. No problems here.

I really like the native platform and M4, hate the handle color. Still might play with some RIT or do a swab if I buy one. Pretty happy with the micarta and liners of my current native 5. So many knives on my pre-order list already.

I ordered one, and canceled it. I just cannot bring myself to deal with that Jade G10. Not buying a knife that I have to scale swap, or dye the handles. Just can't do it.

The jade G10 on the Manix (which I imagine is the same) isn't too bad, it kind of "settles" in over time as it gets used, it doesn't have the glowing mojito green color in person as much as in pics.

So bit of an odd inquiry, how well received were these? Seems like they never pop up for sale but Manixes and PM2s in M4 are FS daily. I can't find much feedback on them either.

Good points guys. I saw one fs and was concerned maybe there were quality issues, but it makes more sense that it was a smaller run due to a less popular model.

Really hoping to do this with a BHQ M4 DLC version, which would be the first native with a DLC back spacer.
