just heard back from We Are One, and my replacement rim is on the way. $42 shipping is all it's gonna cost.
I've been ram hammering this rim since 2017!

I had never heard of them, but they seem like a good value, and that warranty bumps them up to a great value. I really like Onyx hubs, they seem to only work with i9, which are sweet, but silence is bliss

Industry 9 is actually based not far from CPK HQ, (Asheville, NC) and just recently acquired We Are One, so I'm guessing many more Americans will soon become familiar with the brand. The carbon lay up facility will continue to operate in Kamloops, BC, so it seems like a pretty good fit. Definitely better than losing yet another core manufacturer altogether.

I bought a Pivot in 2020 and thought this is the type of riding I’d be able to do. After a minor crash, I realized my confidence and “no fear” attitude was gone. I’ll take this trail at 2 mph, and taking the hill down as an alternative to the jump.

to be fair, Mark Matthews is one of the best riders in the world. I ride those trails at roughly half his speed, probably.

It’s also hard to tell how narrow/wide things are from watching a video, especially at speed (no different than rollercoasters where it looks like your hands are going to get chopped off and people not only drop their hands, but duck their heads, then when you actually look up, you realize that the clearance is actually several feet above upraised arms).
