Big and Little S!K Pairs

Kk guys sorry I am trying hard not to be an arse ☺..

Arse! Of course! I knew you were an Aussie! Ha!

..In the south of Australia we have some very hard bush woods. Short of an axe, its gotta be heavy duty eh?

Yeah you're not kidding 'heavy duty' AN! I see all the time in these forums "I batoned through this, this batons like a boss.." etc. but from the pics I've seen a lot of these knives are being used on stuff that has nice straight grain. Not sure if anyone here (obviously apart from you AN or any other aussies here) has seen wood like Blackbutt, Tallowwood, Ironbark and some Gum (eucalypt) varieties. These woods have grains that are so inconsistent and the wood itself is so hard it's like it's petrified. It's enough to bugger a chainsaw..

But to stay on track here (sorry for the derailment), I second AFb's choice of the 7/7 and the 3.5. That would make a fine pairing. I also reckon a great combo would be the 7/7, the 4.1 and the Necker II. But as I don't own any yet (gulp) I'm sort of in the "you should shut up Springy and stand over there.. NO over THERE!.." corner. But alas I'm very much an advocate of specializing your knives (chopper, slicer/food prep, finecrafting etc.) instead of 'the one ring.. oops.. knife to rule them all'.

Yeah, Tinbanger, that is a great set up. Sorry if I missed it, but where did you get those 2 knives? Did you need to buy new screws for the piggyback set up?

Ha, I just clipped the 3.5 to the 6. The 3.5 was a second that just came on Saturday, and I got the 6 from the first preorder batch a while back.
