Big Bend National Park

FANTASTIC Photos brother! WOW! It made me want to grab my gear and get out there! Thanks for sharing your adventure!

My family went there when I was little. Beautiful place. One day, a skunk walked into our camp...like he owned the place...we were all petrified. He snooped around at our stuff. Walked into our tent, and snooped around in there a while. I guess we didn't have what he was looking for, because he just walked away like nothing ever happened.

We were so glad we didn't have to drive the long hours back to Dallas crammed in the car with someone who smelled of skunk!

Thanks for sharing the pics. They brought back many memories. My Dad and I took the South Rim trek about 30 years ago. We also spent the night up on the South Rim. Both of us packed in a gallon of water plus an extra canteen but ended up drinking it all well before we got back to the car. I can still remember loading up on the water when we got back to the visitor center. It's so dry down there that you dehydrate quickly. Best tasting water I've ever had .. :D

Awesome pictures!!! Thanks for sharing...went there once before about 15years ago and really want to go back and do some serious hiking like your trip.

I can't figure out why they call this "Boot Canyon"

Look at the hoodoos at the right of the picture...imagine that they are upside down cowboy boots...:D

Peace!

Thanks for the compliments everyone...

It is a great trip! The pictures really don't do it justice.

Personally I prefer being north 100 miles. The Marfa/Apline/Ft Davis area. I am totally in love with that part of Texas and hope to live there some day.

Wow, what a view! Looks like a great time. Especially like that lion sign. Avoid taking little kids. I wonder why that would be any help.

If possible go before or after spring break. The pics bring back some great memories. +1 on the Marfa-Alpine-Fort Davis area. Great country and even better people.
