Uberti Rezin Bowie (9.2 inch blade) MSRP $329

Luverly! I very much enjoy the Searles/Fowler style bowies. Looks like something equally at home carving a roast 200 years ago or defending the Alamo to the bitter end.

The Al Mar 4009 "Alaskan Bowie" would be a nice addition. Somewhere from $250 to $450 on Ebay and such places.

I know I've posted this before but it is one of my favorite designs.

That's a beautiful knife, Bors. I love those sharpened clip swedges, even though they're only good for fighting.

Here's a design I've been photoshopping at for awhile now; I think I'll try and make it during the summer when I have the time and money.
Full-tang S30V, blued and stonewashed, 1/4" stock, 10 1/2" blade, sharpened clip.
Bolsters will (hopefully) be carved and etchd gibeon meteorite, handles will be black-dyed and stabilized wood with a similar texture, maybe Wenge or Black Ash Burl.
Opinions?

Hey, while she may not be the prettiest girl at the party, the Marine Raider Bowie is a heck of a worker.

i know you said 8" or bigger, but as far as looks go - i've never seen a sexier bowie than the Recon Scout in San Mai III. a very close runner up would be the Gerber Australian Bowie with it's coffin shaped kraton handle (finding one might prove difficult, though). i love mine, but sometimes want something just a wee bit smaller. so, i just ordered an Ontario Gen II SP42. i know it's not really a bowie, but it's bowie(ish) :D

You can buy this bowie from HI for $100 >
