Hi Guys
Here's the latest knife finished, a big chopper forged from 6150 with machine finished bevels, hand sanded flats/spine/choil, radiused spine & choil, 416 ss guard with satin finish, and sculpted black G10 handle (hand finished to 1500X for a bit of shine without being slick).
It's pretty darn big---
OAL- 16-1/2"
Blade- 11-1/16"L x 2-3/16"W x 0.315" thick at the guard.
Comments are welcome--- please just keep it civil so the thread doesn't get locked by the mods.
Thanks for looking!
I know some folks don't care for G10, but I love how tough it is, and this pattern that comes out when there are curves in a handle...
I wish I had more time to redo this video. It took WAY too long to get though the 2X because of how I had it set-up--- lots of wasted energy. But it still shows a little bit of cutting,so here 'ya go. BTW- @1 min into it, I realized I cut through a nail... oops, LOL
