Big 'Ol Camp Knife

Lucky me, good timing. Glad it ain't got no hamon :):D

I love the purity/simplicity of a Loveless. This "big-azz" piece of Nick's had the same magnetic draw on me that a Loveless does, when I saw it in the Exchange. Now I'll get to see what all the fuss is about.

Bob

I'm shocked! You have an eclectic taste my man!

Thanks guys. :)

Bruce- the blade was taken to a 300ish finish with a semi-worn Gator belt. It's actually "easier" for me to hand finish a blade and say when it's done.

I spend a lot of time struggling to get a machine finish that I'm happy with. If the blades were just flat ground it would be easy, but the slight convex geometry makes it a bugger for me.

A finely hand finished, mono steel blade is one of my personal favorites... but for some knives I think the machine finish helps to convey a "work-horse" feeling.

Or we can just blame it on Joe Paranee. ;) :D

Nick I LOVE this one!! I'm late to the party obviously but PM me how much $$ this one sold for if you would. I always have knives on my 'want' list and love your working blades a LOT!!

Very nice blade Mr. Nick. Always enjoy your posts. I wanna be just like you when I grow up.

Like I said Nick ....... I love it :)

There is artistry in both finishes

And you are an artist

But he time that is just as in to the performance as the look ......... And that's what I dig

What a great looking blade. Love the handle too.
The really nice thing is seeing it being used in the proper hand as apposed to the right one.

That is one BIG BAD MOFO!!!!!
