Folks sometimes ask if my fighters and Bowies can be used to baton firewood, chop an oak tree down, dig in the garden, etc (shutter). I made this one for just those jobs.
Forged from 1/4 inch 5160 because of it's toughness
Heat treated with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 58-60.
Scotchbright finish on a flat grind
Micarta handle of course with 4 quarter inch pins and lanyard hole
Overall length: 17 3/4 inches
Blade: 12 inches
Weight: 1 pound 9 ounces
Leather scabbard with a belt loop
