This sounds like a good plan. If a customer orders something that would be hard for you to resell if he were to back out, be unable to pay, etc., it's perfectly reasonable to require a deposit.Esav: I agree, he qualifies as a Deadbeat. He's aggravated two of us knifemakers, for sure. As far as property goes, I had to rehandle the knife in order to sell it. I just posted it today as a matter of fact - a month is long enough to wait for a Deadbeat. As far as banning him from the BF site, maybe I was a little too harsh. However, since his shameless behavior, I've instituted a $100 deposit policy on special orders. I guess I should send him this thread to let him know his behavior was unacceptable and that the knifemakers here are on to him.
