Big Shark Lock, 4" blade length , full thickness handle , budget materials , like the 4 Max Scout .

I wouldn't hold your collective breathes, that Demko would start making AD20 models in Taiwan. They'd risk cannibalizing their USA-made sales, and what would that price delta even land at? They have the AD20.5 models as an obvious floor, so they'd be forced to try and price things in-between. As for blade steel, that would also be an unusual precedent; I can't think of anyone charging different prices, based on the steel. Demko doesn't, now, nor do other stalwarts, like Hinderer, etc.
yeah we all kinda know, but we're still just wish listing.......

Cold Steel , WE vs Civivi /Sencut , Spyderco / Byrd etc definitely do have separate price lines , largely based on steel and handle materials .

IMO , those buying more premium performance / bling lines are often not the same as value (cheapskate ) buyers .

Another , unpleasant reality , is that China clones will service the cheap alternative demand regardless .

But a budget, genuine Demko , Taiwan made , would be much preferred by many . If available .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Chaves just kinda did this with their Redencion 229 but they downsized it a little, used D2 steel and aluminum scales and slapped a price tag of $85 on it and it seems to be selling like hotcakes! They even made it fidgety with a new Chaves X-Lock (Axis Lock)... Demko has also done something similar to their Shark Cub with the $80 FRN version. I guess anything is possible but as others stated, I wouldn't hold my breath! But I am still hoping for some Compacts with steel liners and G10 to pop up in the $400 range!
