Biggest custom bowie knife

Well that puts my Rasputin bowie to shame with it's mere 11" blade.

I think this Bowie will be hard to beat. It was posted on eBay in August of 2015. The knife was apparently made by John N. Cooper, and is 37 inches long. I don’t know who took the pictures, and I don’t know if someone bought the knife.

Yes you are right,,,so far i never seen any bigger "bowie" custom blade apart of this Coopers giantic one.I have spotted this thing on ebay for couple of K's, very rare opportunity for every collector...How genuine was that stuff i do not know....Wish that more knifemakers do some crazy supersized knifes like this!

I think it was bought by/for the town of Bowie, Texas. I was driving through there a week or two ago and saw a new sign that said, "Future home of the world's largest Bowie knife." Hard to imagine it wasn't that one, given size and timing. I assume it'll be on display somewhere in town. I intend to check it out when it is.

One time a local maker made a display bowie that was a little bigger than that, I think. He used an enormous elk stag crown for the handle.

I like extreme sizes on both ends of the spectrum. This one is 24", with an 18" blade.

These are smaller.

I am with you there, also love monster blades, there is something about them....even there is very little use out of them,as masterpieces and collectibles they are awesome...

I did this one for a buddy. 12" 1075 blade, 17.5" OAL.
