Biggest fix blade you carry

Would be my Coldsteel Bushman, very light for it's size but plenty strong enough !

Lately I've had this strapped to my pack

18 inches of blade, with the agility of a machete and the power of a boys axe.

Biggest is probably KZII Busse

If I'm hiking in for more than a night, and carrying gear, probably gets left at home. For day hikes, and over nighters, canoeing, or car camping, it might come depending on weight.

I used to have a B11 that was a good light chopper, and a FBMLE which weighed less than the KZII.

Some times I bring a Magnum Khukri Machete. Cheap and choppy.

When photobucket ever stops taking a dump, I'll post pics.

I almost never carry a fixed blade in the woods. I prefer the Opinel #10 Inox for it's lightweight and ability to be pocket carried.

I do carry a fixed blade when I carry my Emberlit stove - mostly restricted to XC skiing day trips. In that case, I carry a Silky PocketBoy 170 along with a either a Schrade H-15 or a Mora Companion.
