Mine definately has to be titanium framelocks that come standard with a single thumbstud! Anyone else feel the same?😁

My sebenza is framelock and single stud, doesnt bother me...

I love when my knives get dull, I have many stones.

What I do hate, is when there is no work for knife, nothing to cut other than mail. ..

I agree with HwangJino, I love that my left handed Sebenza only has a thumbstud on one side. It keeps the dirty paws of right handed people off of my knife!

I hate flippers personally.

I hate it when my knife has bladeplay. It really, really bothers me. Stripped screws too, from a used knife I buy.

Not a fan of lockbacks.
I don't like it when rust gets into a hard to clean area. Doesn't happen often luckily.
And I hate giving a budget for a knife and being recommended a knife over that budget. "For a little more you can get..."

I hate when a new knife comes out of box with blade play. I hate it. And I hate thin linerlocks.

I have almost bought a few knives with blade play, few striders and others I cant remember names to. But im one of those stubborn people who take the knife out of the box before my wallet comes out. Unless its an online purchase, even then, I must research customer reviews on this forum first to make sure there is no factory blade play.

Hot spots. You have to wonder if some knife designers ever really actually HELD their knives before they marketed them. Case in point is the Spyderco Nilakka. I love the way the knife LOOKS, and it may be the smoothest opening knife that I own. But the entire butt end of the knife is one huge sharp six-pointed hot spot that digs into the heal of my hand. The sharp end is supposed to be on the FRONT of the knife.

Agree with the hotspots. Contego is a great example of designers obviously not handling a knife much without gloves.

For me, the biggest pet peeve is a production or "mid-tech" that is well beyond the price tag it deserves whether it be because of name, fit and finish, looks, what have you. Nothing worse than seeing a $200 liner lock that develops bladeplay, or a $300-$1000 mid-tech with old technology, outdated materials, or issues with bladeplay/other design flaws. Not when there are literally hundreds of knives at a fraction of the price that more than meet the standard.

One more would be subhilts and finger grooves. Dude, not everyone has the same hand size, so why do some makers turn out knives for gorilla mitts? Maybe people have large hands but like smaller handles, or have medium to small hands as it seems like a lot of knife guys do? Or what if a woman wants to enjoy a gigantic fixed blade but can't because "I've got these tiny hands"?! Just a thought.

I don't really like nested liners, I like full liners or none. But I enjoy making scales for my knives. That's why.
I hate the black paint cold steel uses, it's worse than benchmade pocket clips.

Detents that are so tough that it takes two hands to open the blade.
OR...weak detents so that you can shake the knife open...if it doesn't open in your pocket.

Blade play on a new knife. Also half serrated blades, make it plain or fully serrated/ not both!

Knives with blade steel that doesn't fit the price.

I'm looking at you, Chris Reeve. And Hinderer. And Strider. And Boker. And Emerson. And CRKT. And...

Basically, I'm of the opinion that few to no knives that average more than $70 should have 440c or VG10, and more than $150 shouldn't have S30V or 154CM (CPM154 is a different matter altogether). I know some people have strong opinions about this, and to each their own - it's just, as the thread is about, my pet peeve.

I don' t like single thumbstuds either:)

What also bugs me is tip-down only clips. It' s gotten to the point where a tip-down clip becomes a deal-breaker for me.

Nope. Single thumbstuds are fine with me. I'm right handed and do 99.9% of my cutting with my right hand, so I only need a single thumbstud. And since it's seems like you're taking a stab at Chris Reeve, you should know that CRK also offers the Sebenza with dual thumbstuds.

Now, as for my knife pet peeves. I dislike cheap knockoffs, folders with bladeplay, folders with poorly designed pocket clips. Fixed blades with poorly designed sheaths.

Thin linerlocks, late lockups on frame/linerlocks,low-rider clips, flippers that need wrist action to work, fat handled folders

Blade Play.
Uneven final edge grind. Within 2 degrees is fine for me to sharpen.
Last is tip down carry.
