Biltons are in. Who is waiting and who wants one?

Got my Bilton yesterday (Gawd I hate that name. Reminds me of a former US president :barf: ) The little K is pretty neat. Would make a great conversation piece and cheese knife for your next wine tasting party. :D

Yep. I was thinking the exact same thing. I "tested the waters" on Thursday by saying "I got you a 'Homer gift'"...(refering to Homer Simpson's gift to Marge - a bowling ball with Homer's name on it, for Homer to use.)

She replied "I don't need a knife. You better not have gotten me another knife."

:(

I already had the Bilton in my bag :rolleyes:, so I had to do some quick thinking. I stopped in at the local sports shop and bought her a new basketball she's been wanting and tattoo'ed our names on it...

She liked that one.

So, yesterday, she asks me if the ball was the Homer gift and I had to tell her "No."

She wanted to know what it was...

So I showed her the Bilton.

At first she was very skeptical, but then when I told her about the "Sherpa girls" she started warming up to it. :p After a few minutes of playing with it, she decided she really liked it.

She asked me if I had bought this for myself and I told her that I had had her in mind from the start. That eventually won her over and now it's hanging on the wall in the kitchen...:D
