Photos Bird and Trout! Let's See 'Em!

Behring
Sheaths are basic dark brown pouch sheaths. Functional but nothing special.
I know Behring will do custom leather, but I haven’t seen their ‘upgraded’ sheaths in person.
Behring hires the sheath work out to a few different makers. They don't make their own,

Dove Opener. Both calendar-wise and cutlery-wise. Put it to work yesterday.

Not quit a B&T, but the mini drover really changed my opinion of what a little fixed blade can do, even with fire making.

That led to a JK hunter with a straight back. Probably a touch thick for a B&T but pretty close.

Great looking bird & trout knives Dave. That Golden trout is a really nice looking little fish.

Thanks Scott. Used a small attractor hopper pattern and a little 3 weight rod. Goldens are a tough fish to catch at that local cause literally its in a campground that see tremedous fishing pressure for the whole summer. These little guys get wise. Ya got to do everything right with presentation, no drag etc. However it is one of the few places ya can drive up to and fish for Goldens, most of their territory is backpacking or horsepacking remote. This guy was caught in The South Fork of the Kern river, one of two places the Golden trout originated. Casting was tough with all the willows:

Arno Bernard 'Porcupine' in warthog ivory, just 5 7/8 inches overall. Perfect for hummingbirds, goldfish and dragonflies. So cute.Screen Shot 2019-09-18 at 15.13.56.png

- oh, my..........how graceful, simple and utterly stunning is that..! Beautiful knife - congrats, sir

I met Arno few years ago in SA at the KGSA Show, a delightful fella, very modest and unpretentious given all the years and all the glorious knives he's produced.

California State Fish
I've caught a few in my time, but they can be elusive.

We use to pack into Little Whitney Meadows, a public pasture. Golden Trout Creek flows right through the middle. Horsey Cancun. Golden Trout Creek is the other originating water for the Goldens. But due to the remoteness the fishing there is fantastic. A fish per cast is pretty normal.

Have to give you props for your photography Dave. Subject matter and technical quality is ALWAYS right there.
