Birkenstock sandals: c'mon fess up!

I have received numerous phone calls and threats trying to get me to wear Birkenstocks. NO NO I will not do it.:D

No sir. No way, no how. I don't care how comfortable they are, you aren't going to see a pair of those things on my feet. Those things are for crunchy granola types. Damned patchouli-stinkin', trust fund hippies wear those things.

I wear Crocs instead. Much cooler. :D ;)

You wearing the pink ones ???

Yeah but you're in Jupiter.
All you need to get laid is an extra NASCAR cap and some extra Winstons.:jerkit:

Easy there Costa Rica. I know you are are in the center of the hip universe. We are just trying to get by here in the wealthiest county on the planet.

Ive never tried birks but I have the pair of reefs with the built in flask on each sandal
heres a pic in case you guys have never seen them

ive had a pair for 6 years now and hiked 6+ miles in them on multiple occasions. Get the second most time on my feet next to my logging boots.

No way!!!
My toesies need to be protected from the cruel, dirty, hot, grimy outside world that is the ground! Maybe if the ground was free of all that... say a self cleaning Vault or some such that didn't have nice, soft carpeting everywhere

I love Briks, I had 3 pairs in the last 12 years. As long as they make them, I will have them

I've been flip-flops only for about 3 years now. Well, the only time I wear closed toe shoes is if I'm on the motorcycle, dressy events, or at a convention, but for the other 50 weeks, I'm in flip flops or sandals. I have a pair of closed top crocs for house shoes, croc flip flops for everyday wear, and croc sandals for when I need more secure footwear (hiking, etc). They are extremely comfortable year round.

The only time I really have an issue is if there is actual snow on the ground, even then as long as I'm not wedging my feed into snowbanks I'm good

I'm a Keen guy. The damn things almost never leave my feet, even had a tiger stripe camo sun tan to prove it:D.

Swore to myself that I'd never wear Birks. I had a pair of Tevas that I'd wear on occaision, but was never really comfortable in them. The birks when I tried them...well that damn High arch beat the bejeezus out of the bottom of my feet.

Had Surgery a couple of years ago and was Hospital Bound for almost a year, some friends bought me a pair of Birks with assorted socks to wear while I convalesced.

Now they are probably my favorite footwear for casual around the house stuff.

I hardly ever leave home in the summer without my Mephisto SHARK's. Most comfortable sandal I have ever worn. You pay a pretty penny for them, but they are soo worth it.

I don't understand what you are all talking about.

I had to quit wearing my Birks, because every time I went out in them I got propositioned by strange women and my girlfriend got really angry.:D

Someone stole my birks at a local St. Park.
I tried Tevas and like them better.

I had a pair in the '90's when I lived in So. Cal. and I loved them. It's doubtful I'll ever own more though.

I'm not into sandals, but I'm trying to change that. I've been wearing Keen Newports for about a month now, almost everyday, even to work.

I like the new Keens, and my old Jesus-looking Tevas. I still can't get over the dirty feet part, though. Feeling grains of sand and cat5 wire clippings in between my toes drives me nuts.

Oh, a huge hell-no! to the standard Birkenstocks. Too much hippy fagottry for me. Now, the Alabama shoes look nice.

yep, got two pair of birks, one gray and one black, excellent shoes, one pair in the garage and one pair in da house, like keens, merrell, vasque, good hard use wearing shoes, being a big shoe person!!!

oh yea got some croc, knock offs called nothinz, love them, if folks don't like them the dont have to look at them, they are on my feet and feel good...
