Birthday giveaway!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I will go with 69

Thanks for the chance

I have been wanting to try a more exotic handled knife lately, mammoth or some other fossil I think would be awsome to carry in pocket. 3 1/2 to 3 7/8 really into Jack patterns and anything with a coping second would be a dream.

KRIS ...great gesture sir..I,ll take #26 !!!!!!.......i like all trad knives from friction to to fixed...I hate the trying to re-invent the wheel theory..if its old an proven i want it!!...thanks for the chance ...FES

Happy early birthday

I guess 109

I like surprises, just incase I guessed right.

Thanks for doing this

Very decent gesture and an interesting idea.

I go with 74

My favourite style is Barehead and generally a single blade, but it can depend.....

Thanks, Will

Ummmm. . . . . .64!
I uhhhh. . . . I errrrr. . . . .I can't think of a single thing to say about slip joint knives! Nuthin!:o
Nada!
Welll they are hmmmm . . . .nice- - - - - - that's it nice!!!
Mostly though, have a happy birthday on the 26th:thumbup::D

I'll guess 92
Happy B-Day! I tend to like slipjoints that are vintage, bone or wood, and approx. 4 inches and less but I have a inclusive nature.

Happy birthday and thanks for this new kind of giveaway! My guess is 79. When it comes to traditionals, I like to have a sheepsfoot blade on every knife. A wharcliff has always been apealing to me, but I haven't been able to pick one up. Clip blades are nice for main blades, especially California clips. I like spear blades a bit more than spey blades, but that is just because it is easier to sharpen the tip for puncturing things. I am a fan of bone and wood in any cut or color; if it is synthetic, it must be jigged or sawtooth, not plain and flat. I am NOT a fan of poor fit and finish (who is?), especially rubbing of blades on each other and/or the liner :grumpy:. I like to have matte/ brushed finishes instead of polished unless it is going to be used as a dress knife. I'll stop ranting and let you go on with your day now.

I'd love to see pics of the displays when you get them done,
Connor

What happens if two or more people have the same guess?

I was going to say 64 but... my guess is 63

Guess I'll wish you a happy Birthday!

If 68's still open I'll go with that. I like slim knives under 3.5", but that's subject to change...

Happy Birthday :) Nice giveaway, very generous of you. You've got some interesting stuff there. I like my slippies small and simple. Dark wood scales, single sheepsfoot or spear-point blade, and under 3 inches. My guess is a round 70.

91 ....I'm liking the wharncliffe look... Thanks for the opportunity and Happy Bday

Happy Birthday!

Count me in with 75.

As for slipjoints, I have become a big fan of heavily clipped, clip points, or any kind of Wharcliff/Sheepsfoot. Always had a fascination with coffin handles and such, wish someone would make an affordable one in carbon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY and 57 is my guess..
What I look for in a traditional is small and simple like Jack Black..I always have a clipped folder in my back pocket , or a sheath on my belt and the tradional is a secondary blade...A Barlow with a sheepsfoot would be nice.

Happy birthday and thanx for the chance!

I'm gonna guess 76.

What I look for in a slipjoint is usually a jack pattern, mainly an EO. I prefer stag and bone, usually no synthetics. With a nice spear blade with a swedge and pen secondary.

So what are you planning on doing with all of those blades Kris? I bet that you could make yourself some pretty sweet blades for your preferences!!
Speaking of which, what is your favorite pattern? What do you like to see in your slippies?

I will keep most as a display, but am thinking of trying to piece something together as well. In my own slipjoint choices I prefer natural materials and multiple options with the blades. I like a strong clip or Wharncliffe pattern, Spey blades, and punches. Long pulls and half stops, and some bolster treatments. Most of all a great price! As I like variety and working knives many of my recent acquisitions have been well under $20. I'll try almost anything out for a while! Thanks for asking!!

There is 129 blades there. Well maybe. So thats my guess. Hey and thanks very much.

Good on you sir for doing another give away. Happy belated birthday. This is not an entry. The winner shall be blessed.
