Bison Burgers, Single Malt and Kiln Dried Hardwood

Man...where are the Florida hogs? I know Gator's up north, and I remember a couple others, but dang...we need a chopfest. Best I've seen from boys down here was when Ben and I tore up his kids' jungle gym. And THAT ended badly with two of MY knives gettin' bitten. :(

Now that looks like a lot of fun!!!

You guys sure had some fine chopping devices.

Two questions,

1. What is a WFBM?
2. Was that Ratweiler Banned or a custom?

Thanks for the great pics Phil. And thanks to the models in the pics also, oh yea thanks T, OP and dd too

The WFBM is a Jeepnut/Ban collabo (JN had the idea, Ban executed it). If I'm not mistaken, it began life as an FFBM. Now it's called the Wicked Fusion Battle Mistress, and has a gorgeous recurve.

The Ratweiler was also Banned, as per JN's post earlier in this thread. Ban just keeps getting better and better. That thing looks like a perfect chopper. JN seems to think so, too.

I'd like to get in on the "Georgia chopfest!!!!!" Hell..., we can have it on my farm (900 acres in Bryan County, Georgia). Bring your best (knives and scotch), and we'll have a helluva good time. I even know a few dancin' girls we might line up for "entertainment!!!" Trevor..., although a transplant, is WELCOME!!!!!

Oh man, that looks like a party for sure --- gladyou guys had a good time.

Ban has had my knife for a while now!!! He is the master and I am the grasshopper of Stupid Sharp!! You guys just wait until you see the WSHBM

Mornin OP. How's the old bones!! Have fun beatin on them knives!!

We had a great time, with special thanks to Jeepnut22 (and his Mrs!) for being the hosts ... and to that piglet, Mulder, for bringing us all together.

While it's true the BMs, in all their styles and glories, are the ultimate choppers, there is much to be said for the SHSH. In many ways it is "the" Busse knife. Most of the chop for a lot less weight and length. It's really remarkable what that knife can do.

I have to recommend Bison Burgers to everyone as outstanding Hog-food, especially mixed with jellied chilies (adds just that little extra something). Of course, you all know where we stand on single malt Scotch -- we began with the lightness and ravishing aroma that is The Balvenie Single Cask and then (eventually) finished up with the intensity and sea-borne manliness of Highland Park and The Talisker.

Horton's sword? My only comment -- it's just too little. He's got to make a bigger one. :D

While it's true I brought no SHBMs, I did bring a mint Basic 9. It is "mint no more." :( But we all learned a valuable lesson about that vastly under-rated knife.

GatMan ... was that really a picture of me? Let me see ... aging, overweight, slow, rapidly degenerating hand-eye coordination ... yep, that's me!!

Till next time. :thumbup::D:thumbup:

Yuppers!! Both are amazing blades!!

Yes, as OP mentioned above, the SHSH really is a special blade.

Thanks to Mulder, T./Jeremy, and OP, I now have 3 new knives on my wish list that will make me broke!! SHSH, SHBM (doesn't have to be 1/300), and a Basic 9!! All old-school and all effortlessly performed what we asked of them. Simpy amazing early Busse steel!!

Anyone have a few grand I can borrow? :p

Yo Jeremy, dude, I think he just called your sword little.

:D :p

Trevor looks like he was concentrating real hard on a deuce, and found he produced a Horton. Holy SMOKE!:D:D:D

No disrespect intended, Jeremy. That blade looks amazing, and held up like a trooper. If I ever get any more knife money, I may have to commission you for something.

I hope Phil caught the rest of the swing, although this might be the funniest ,
cause the big pieces blew away.:thumbup:

A little background...a couple others attempted to split that piece, I had to put a little more azzs behind it to get her done;):D

Looks like an awesome time, guys! Thanks for the pics, Jeepnut.:cool:

True, true.

That would be the complaint. Us little guys NEED the bigger sword.

Travis? Not so much ... ;):D

Oh, and a 1 of 300, was one of three hundreded prior to heading off to it's new home...

J.H., hope you like it broken in more... :p
