Bits Good vs. Worn

Draw filing removes a lot of metal. I think it is by far the fastest form of filing. You are using it much like as scraper. The edge will last very well because there is no skipping and the file stays in the cut the whole time. Starting and stopping tend to cause more damage. you will need to clean the file with a card very often. As it starts to ride up on the grit you will get deep scratches that are hard to remove if that matters to you. It will also be hard on your file.
 
Anybody have an opinion on single or double cut files? I have a Pferd fine single cut, a Pferd double cut medium, and several china freight course double cut files, all are new.
