Well since I think that it's a omen that Mr. Boats and myself got bitten on the same day, with the same amount of stitches, that we needed a picture thread of our stupid mistakes.
I was out in the woods with my son, shooting some pics and trying to put my Izula through some work for a review. Well I was making a notch, like you would for a figure four trap. Stupid me was making a pull cut toward my other hand holding the twig. Well the Izula slipped on a cut and I brought the knife right to the tip of my left thumb. Cut it all the way to the bone about a 1" to 1-1/2" laceration. I guess that's why they call it an Izula, cause she is one nasty little sh*t. Luckily it was a real clean cut, cause of the very sharp blade. The doctor actually commented on it. But I bled like a stuck pig and my son was saying "Daddy your supposed to leave the blood in your body." He's three
I really didn't feel a thing until about half way to the hospital.
I've learned a valuable lesson. I know I not supposed to make cuts like that I just wasn't thinking. I've been a outdoorsman since my grandpa started taking me out in the woods when I was 8 yrs old. So no excuse just plain stupid.
This is like the pull cut I was doing, but only on a bigger stick. Then the damage after the hospital.
