Another good cut! What is with you people lately? Everyone is trying their hand at self-amputation these days.

I took my stitches out today. It healed up nice, but really numb on the tip.
 
Numb could be a good thing. Keeps you from peeing your pants if you hit it. Hopefully the feeling will come back in a few weeks.
 
Ohhhh nooo. You are giving me flashbacks. I cut the corner of my index finger of when I slipped using a razor. To small to be sewn back on and was cleanly cut completely off. It gives me chills when I see cuts like that. I'll tell you what I now have a real keen sense about this stuff. I ge a chill before I do anything that may not work out when I'm cutting something. Then I readjust my grip to something safer and continue. Let this be a lesson to those who have not cut themselves badly yet. You don't want this to happen especially in the out of doors.

I've yet to ever cut myself badly (the only time I've ever had stitches was when I cracked my chin on the pavement) but I get the same feeling before I go to do anything that might not be safe. That 6th sense has probably saved me plenty of times, and as a result I only cut myself once or twice a year--and never badly.

Sometimes we just need to remember that nearly everything can be dangerous if you do it wrong. :)
 
This is very true.

As for your numbness I suspect you will get full feeling back but it takes a while for the nervs to heal. Your cut looks to be healing very well.

hmmm there is something about those OD powder coatings that seem to attract blood.


edit: :D If you look close you can see the scar wraps over half way around my knuckle, I went to some mall while I was at Oak Ridge and they had a masseuse. Since I had time to kill and I had never had a decent massage I figured why not, turns out he also popped your knuckles during the massage. :grumpy: bad idea.
