BK-2 Pancake Sheath - Winner announced, Thank god

this thread is startin to feel like the Becker Merch Death Chat!

I need some satisfaction!!!!

I can't find anything odd about the BK2 sheath...but the BK14 sheath pictured with it is ''odd'' in that the tradestamp is on the front, which means it's prolly for a lefthanded person.

Just 550 ''handle'' at the moment but some zytel is going on it ASAP

Thanks Storm! that looks awesome....my BK2 is now happy.

I would love some ''on belt/body'' pics when/if u get a chance...see how that monster rides!

I have to wait for the other half to get home for that. I figured there would be a riot and burning pitchforks if i waited til this evening for pics.

Trade stamp is irrelevant as to the side, pancakes can be worn left or right, back front.

Only on the BK2 sheath look some more ;)

I kinow the stamp can be worn both ways but I assumed its usually placed on the side meant to be worn inwards most. but thats irrelevant. I love that sheath...Im looking and looking but dont see anything odd. maybe I just have romance-goggles on about it!

there appears to be an insert in the sheath, under the blade. I can see a bulge in the leather that aint there on the 11/14 sheaths. Perhaps a thread stitch guard? because the BK2 is so thick that it allows enuff room for the blade to contact the stitches when drawin/holstering the knife?

thats just a guess...what I know about leatherwork u could write on a Post-It

I've looked at it under zoom for a long time, its driving me crazy. If that aint correct please PM me what it is LOL

Looks like the welt should have gone all the way up through the belt loop. Do I win?

Don't really see any other issues. You do great work.

There is a skystorm stamp on the leather! And it's on the wrong side.

It has paracord handles. :D

nope nope nope and uhm nope so far.

If the welt went through the loop it would be way to stiff to try and wear, 3 layers of 12 ounce saddle skirting.

You guys are not looking for a defect, but something I incorporated into the design.

It's made at a steeper angle to incorporate the handle length.

Sporting "paracord handles" as well until the orange and black handle pack is released...

Hmmm. Looks like the leather was molded around the spacers on the outside layer so that the inside layer doesn't have to bend and wrinkle as much and stay more uniform. And probably helps it ride closer to belt without the handle jabbing my love handles. And also, I am buying micarta for my 11 and 2 on Friday. :D

the sheath is "short" it only covers a 1/4 of the handle. i don't have a beckerhead # as i don't quilfy and my bk2 hasn't come in the mail yet so i can't post a pic but thats what i see "wrong" with the sheath. to allow for a quicker draw from the sheath.

I think that.....
crud, I can't enter. Bk11 isn't legal to carry in my state, so your sheath wouldn't get the respect it deserves.

1)The weld curls around the tip on the BK 2 sheath making it stronger.
2) Looks like the stamp is on the welt, which may mean you forgot to add the stamp before you wet molded the sheath.
3)The stump location looks like it was made for left hand carry which would make it an excellent butt forward crossdraw sheath for a right hander.

Well this is apparently harder than I thought it would be.

Again your not looking for a flaw or defect. Your looking for something that might seem 'off' at first until you think about why I mighta dunnit.
